B’nai B’rith Opens Disaster Relief Fund to Benefit Victims of Istanbul Terror Attacks

Washington, D.C. (December 2, 2003) – In response to last month’s savage terrorist attacks against Jewish and British targets in Istanbul, Turkey, B’nai B’rith International (BBI) is opening its disaster relief fund for contributions that will benefit the surviving victims and the families of those who perished.

“We cannot replace lost lives or erase the hatred from the hearts of those who committed these despicable acts, but we can and will make a stand against terror,” says BBI Executive Vice President Daniel S. Mariaschin. “One way to do that is by offering compassion and support to the victims and their loved ones.”

“The B’nai B’rith Banking and Finance Unit of New York City has donated $2,500 to the fund as a sign of support and solidarity with the people of Turkey and their colleagues in the banking industry,” says Rhonda Love, Director of Programming for the B’nai B’rith Center for Community Action and Jewish Identity.

Donations can be made directly online, or can be made payable and sent by mail to:
